In order to fill what we feel is a gaping hole in many of our churches, Young Adults has been set up under the umbrella of Congregational Youth to offer fun and fellowship with a Christian emphasis to under 40s in the Union.

We have been up and running for a few years now, meeting informally on Saturday nights two or three times a year for fun, food and fellowship. Our aim is to develop friendships among the younger members of our congregations, which help improve the fellowship between our churches. The get-togethers have been well-attended (mostly!!) and enjoyed by all.

However, there is always room for those of you out there who haven’t joined us yet, and now is the perfect time to start coming along. From the start of 2005/06 we’ve moved to a much more regular slot every other month, and meet on the last Saturday of August, October, December, February, April and June, so get involved and don’t miss out. You will have fun.  We have no set format for each meeting – basically the host church just organises a few games/activities and we get some food. 

There, now you know all about it so you’ve no excuse. I know you’re busy, and many of you are involved in youth work at the weekends, but most of us could tick those two boxes. Young Adults is deliberately laid back, relaxed and informal for those very reasons. So just turn up, sit back and enjoy. Come once, and you will be back.
